Tests and Grading Policies

There is no Regents exam for this English course. Rather, we will continue to give you the skills necessary to do well on the exam next year. There will be pre-assessments, unit tests, quizzes, and post-assessment given in class. I will notify you in class well before the assessment takes place. There will be multiple-choice tests, but most will be short responses. We will have review sessions before unit tests.  There are no pop quizzes in the class. Under the Assignment tab, you will find due dates for assignments, essays, and tests The dates listed are tentatively planned. We may have to push back some dates, depending on our pace of the material. I will never move a due date forward.  laugh

I will give feedback on essay drafts as long as you submit your draft to me 4 days before the final submission. Although, the earlier the better when it comes to writing. Learning and growth have no deadline therefore, you allowed to revise essays all year long.

Essays and projects are graded through a rubric. These will change over the course of the year plus, we as a class will make a rubric altogether by the end of the year for your final project.
